“I like to challenge the body and the mind, as well as have some fun”

Shelley is the owner of The Yoga Project in Sunderland where she teaches Vinyasa and Power Yoga. Opening the studio was a way for her to spread her love of yoga, hoping that she could help people to develop a stronger mind-body connection as well as grow in strength and flexibility. Her classes flow through poses seamlessly, using the breath to let go of the worries and stressors that life may bring us. Her light-hearted manner makes you feel comfortable in her classes as she stands by the idea that yoga doesn't have to be perfect - you can simply move your body at your own pace, and you’ll still leave feeling worked, energised and peaceful inside.
