ANNIE COOPER

True enjoyment comes from activity of the mind and exercise of the body; the two are ever united”.

As a Marketing graduate Annie spent over 20 years working in a variety of roles for local, national and international organisations in the retail, public and private sector. She has always valued the importance of what exercise, in any capacity, can do for your mental health and wellbeing. Annie expresses the importance of making sure you look after your body to help benefit you physically, emotionally and mentally. Following a change in her work circumstances, she made the decision to pursue her interest in maintaining and caring for the body further, and trained in massage therapy. She is Level 3 qualified in Swedish and Sports Massage and has continued with her training in Myofascial Release, Oncology Massage and has recently completed her certification to become one of less than 300 UK-wide certified ScarWork Therapists, one of only three in Tyne and Wear. When not massaging, Annie is always trying to maintain her health, wellbeing and fitness; having completed a number of 5k, 10k runs and half marathons over the years, and continuing to maintain things, in more recent years with dance exercise classes and yoga.
