A health and wellbeing festival in Sunderland, bringing together a number of health and wellbeing professionals from around the North East, to deliver a full day of classes and talks.
WHERE IS SWF LOCATED?
The Bonded Warehouse. Set just outside of the city centre, Bonded Warehouse is a rare survivor of Sunderland's former industrial landscape. With its exposed brick, original beams and distinctly urban feel, Bonded Warehouse is a unique venue housed in a mid 19th century grade ll listed warehouse.
Sunderland is a vibrant area in the North east of England, located 10 miles southeast of Newcastle and 12 miles northeast of Durham. A home away from home, it's filled with friendly faces, beautiful beaches and picturesque country parks.
WHEN IS SWF HAPPENING?

CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR MYSELF AND A FRIEND?

IS IT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?
Absolutely! If this is your first time on a yoga mat - or even to an exercise class - we welcome you with open arms. We are delighted you have chosen the SWF as your time to give these classes a go. The whole idea behind SWF is to provide an opportunity for people to try things they have never tried before.
CAN I STILL ATTEND IF I'M PREGNANT?
First of all, congratulations! Unfortunately, we don't have any prenatal classes this year, but we do have a range of other classes on our SCHEDULE that you may be able to attend. However, please make sure you: - Consult your Doctor and take their advice on what to do at the festival. - Listen to your body and don't push yourself. - Look at what you should and shouldn't do during pregnancy. As a general rule, you shouldn't twist, jump or bare weight on your belly. - Look online for advice. Here is one great resource from MINDBODYGREEN. - Tell every Yoga/Pilates Teacher at the festival that you are pregnant. They will inform the Hands-On-Help Volunteers and will help you modify poses/exercises.
CAN MEN COME?
Yes! Did you know that yoga was once an all-male practice? For hundreds of years, women weren't allowed to practice yoga and it wasn't until around the 1940s that women were allowed to take part. Luckily, times have changed and we encourage both males and females to join us.
